Comment Logs

Even though it is unlikely that our heroic efforts at reanalysis of the fMRIDC datasets will be published, it would be nice if our observations/findings arising from the process could be made available to others who are contemplating/attempting reanalysis of those specific datasets. Specifically, I think it is helpful to point out issues in the dataset which make analysis more difficult or error prone, e.g. missing data or artifacts. One mechanism for doing this (which has the blessing of fMRIDC folks) is to post our comments using the "comment on this dataset" option. What I did for one of the datasets (2-2002-112K5) was post a link to a comment file that I maintain locally. That way, the content of the "comment" can change as circumstances dictate.

I would like each of the groups to maintain a similar comment log. These comment logs will be a component of the final project presentation.

The directory in which the logs are maintained is:

/afs/cmb.ucdavis.edu/share/matlab/janata/courses/psc290_06/comment_logs/

On the web it shows up as:

http://atonal.ucdavis.edu/matlab/courses/psc290_06/comment_logs/

You have read/write access on this directory (and the figures subdirectory) under the AFS user name 'psc290'. The password is the same as that for your fMRIDC logins. To obtain an AFS token so that you can make changes to your file(s), at the UNIX prompt type:

klog psc290@cmb.ucdavis.edu

You can add your analysis comments to the file. You might want to use an editor that supports HTML, though it is not critical.
