Assignment 2 (due Wednesday, Jan. 25)
- Login to {grid1,engine2}.fmridc.org (where either of the items in the curly
brackets can be used) to inspect your datasets. They are located in /qfs4/ucd/
. Determine whether the layout (directory structure) of the data matches
the layout as described in the documents accompanying the dataset.
- If they do not match, describe how they don't match. Is there information
or data that you believe is missing, and what is it?
- Identify the variability across studies with regard to the
naming/organization of various directories at each of the following levels:
- Experiment
- Session
- Subject
- Datatype (raw, preprocessed_raw, anatomical, etc.
- Functional run
It is critical to understand the variability identified at each of the above
levels in order to be able to write batch scripts.
Remember,
there's no variability that
a bit of extra coding can't take care of. Hopefully we can keep the extra coding
to a minimum though!
Please be prepared to report on discrepancies and variability in layout
in class on Jan. 25th.
